About

Catherine Yang (she/her) is a film composer, music producer, podcast producer, and pianist.

Passionate about creating emotional, narrative-driven audio, she has produced and composed music for the Whetstone Radio Collective podcasts The Stephen Satterfield Show, Spirit Plate, Taste of Place, and many others.

Catherine also produced and edited Advanced TV Herstory, a podcast about iconic women in TV and film, and AdTech Unfiltered, an advertising technology and digital media podcast by Basis Technologies hosted by Noor Naseer. Catherine has written music for numerous films, like the feature nature documentary Escape from Extinction (dir. Matthew R. Brady), and has worked on film sets as a sound recordist and boom operator as well.
